PUBLIC HEARING

2. Open Public Hearing Meeting:
Motion: Kari Alton Second: Kirk McQuivey
Motion passed with 5 affirmative votes.
3. Accept Public Comments- No Comments
4. Discuss/Consider ORDINANCE 2026-1: This code is for the WUI to develop a fee system for those that have structures in high risk boundary areas to help pay to mitigate expenses and wildfires as they arise. Doug states that removing weeds and fencing to help lessen the fuel to any fires has been suggested. Orangeville City is in zone 3 and 4, which is low to moderate risk.
5. Discuss/Consider ORDINANCE 2026-2: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE SUBDIVISION REGULATIONS IN CHAPTER 15, ARTICLE A, ARTICLE B, and ARTICLE C, TO ENSURE COMPLIANCE WITH UTAH CODE ANN ยง 10-9a-6: Doug Stilson explains that this is a code that we have to adopt this Ordinance to be compliant with state code. Doug reads clarifications to be changed in the Code. Doug states that Planning and Zoning decided to not have one sole person make the decisions and to make the Commission the ones who make decisions. He also states that the Commission decided to not allow the Planning and Zoning Commission to approve bonds.
