Description/Agenda
The University of Utah is proposing increasing tuition between 1.57% and 5% for the 2026-27
school year. The tuition increase means a full-time resident undergraduate student taking 15
credit hours would pay approximately $85.16 to $271.22 more per semester. The general
student fee is proposed to remain steady for the 2026-27 school year. However, if a
recommendation to cut one fee by 20% is approved, the $554.74 total per semester will
decrease by $23.89 to $530.85, a 4.31% decrease.
Separately, there are proposed tuition adjustments in several colleges.
All students and community members are invited to attend the University of Utah's Truth in
Tuition hearing at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 4. To improve access and provide a recording for a
larger audience, the University of Utah will offer an online hearing this year. For more
information, read our Truth in Tuition article (https://attheu.utah.edu/students/truth-in-tuition-
