Description/Agenda
The University of Utah is proposing increasing tuition between 1.57% and 5% for the 2026-27
school year. The tuition increase means a full-time resident undergraduate student taking 15
credit hours would pay approximately $85.16 to $271.22 more per semester. The general
student fee is proposed to remain steady for the 2026-27 school year. However, if a
recommendation to cut one fee by 20% is approved, the $554.74 total per semester will
decrease by $23.89 to $530.85, a 4.31% decrease.
Separately, there are proposed tuition adjustments in several colleges.
The David Eccles School of Business (DESB) is proposing two changes to its tuition schedule. For
graduate students in the full-time MBA, SMP, MRED, and MHA programs, DESB is proposing an
increase of approximately 4% in tuition differential for the 2026-27 school year, from $1,250 to
$1,300 per credit hour. For graduate students in the Masters of Business Creation program,
DESB is proposing an increase of approximately 9.1% in tuition differential for the 2026-27
school year, from $550 to $600 per credit hour.
The College of Health is proposing two changes. For undergraduate students, it is proposing a
new differential tuition of $105 per student credit hour. For graduate students in the Master of
Athletic Training program, it is proposing new differential tuition of $900 per credit hour.
The College of Architecture and Planning is proposing a 10% differential tuition increase for all
undergraduate courses, from $68.80 to $75.68 per credit hour.
The S.J. Quinney College of Law is proposing a new undergraduate differential of $100 per credit
hour.
The College of Education is proposing a 59.2% differential increase for students in all graduate
programs in Educational Psychology, from $72.22 to $115 per credit hour.
The John and Marcia Price College of Engineering is proposing a new differential of $1,300 per
credit hour for its MS in Construction Engineering (Certificates).
