Bluff Water Works Special Service District Budget Hearing Minutes for Dec 10, 2025 Called Public Hearing to order: 7:03 In attendance: Marx Powell, Steve Simpson, Amer Tumeh, Mike Yearous, Jennifer Davila Absent: Brandt Hart Audience:Linda Sosa, Ann Lepenan, Kathleen Pakish, Spencer Wade, Erin Nelson Discussion if the numbers of increase Basic expenses increased by about 20%, the increase in rate should cover this increase most of the increases were in insurance, accountant fees and maintenance costs. Nelson commented that she appreciates the time and effort that went into an appropriate Close public hearing at 7:09 Open regular meeting 7:09 In attendance: Marx Powell, Steve Simpson, Amer Tumeh, Mike Yearous, Jennifer Davila Absent: Brandt Hart Audience:Linda Sosa, Ann Lepenan, Kathleen Pakish, Spencer Wade, Erin Nelson Approval of minutes: Tumeh: motions to approve the minutes Hart: seconds Passes unanimously Community Input: Lepenan introduced Spencer Wade as the new town council member that will probably be coming to represent Nelson thanked Powell for his assistance with the road construction on 2nd E St to make sure that there are no water accidents Culinary Water: Powell: The system is running well, everything is working well on the plant. We received a new order of chemicals. Lead and Copper samples came back fine. There was a new office computer purchased because we were unable to update the current office computer We are still waiting to here from Nielson's construction about repairs associated with the road Unfinished Business: Water Meter Applications: None Meter Report: Nothing to report Bills to Pay: See Treasures Report Simpson motions to pay the bills as presented Yearus seconds the motion Passes unanimously Vote to approve Budget for 2026 Tumeh motions to approve the presented budget Yearus seconds the motion Passes unanimously Election of officers Marx chairman Mike vicechair Simpson Clerk Simpson motions to adopt the meeting dates to be held on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m. at the Bluff Library on the following dates. Jan 14th, Feb 11th, Mar 11th, April 8th, May 13th, June 10th, July 8th, Aug 12, Sept 9th, Oct 14th, Nov 11th, Dec 9th (budget hearing and regular meeting) Jan 13th 2027 Other: None Next meeting: Jan 1th, 2025 Meeting adjourned: 7:20
