Description/Agenda: PUBLIC NOTICE VERNAL CITY ORDINANCE NO 2026-02 ADOPTED Notice is hereby given that Ordinance No. 2026-02, an ordinance of Vernal City adopting the 2006 Utah Wildland-Urban Interface Code, as adopted under Utah Code § 15a-2-103, was passed and adopted February 4, 2026 in a regular City Council Meeting. This ordinance establishes fire-resistant building and safety standards in designated wildland-urban interface areas to help protect life, property, and infrastructure from wildland fire hazards. The code will apply to mapped WUI areas within Vernal City and includes provisions for permitting and enforcement in accordance with state law. The ordinance takes effect immediately upon adoption and posting, as provided by law. A copy of the ordinance is on file and available for public inspection at the Vernal City Recorder's Office during regular business hours. Published on the Public Notice Website February 6, 2026
