- This notice is to notify you that Carrie Hughes and Jim Hunt have submitted an application to the City of Blanding requesting a zoning change for their lot located in your area. The request is to rezone this property from R-1 to R-2. The purpose of this change is to allow for the creation of additional rental housing. You are receiving this notice because your property lies within the area of required public notification for this application. Please note: Your lot's current zoning designation is not proposed to change as part of this application. A map outlining the proposed zone change area is attached to this letter. A public meeting regarding this potential zoning change is currently scheduled for: Date: February 12th, 2026 Time: 7PM Location: Blanding City Hall, 50 West 100 South, Blanding, Utah The City welcomes public input on this matter. Written comments may be submitted up to four (4) hours prior to the meeting by email at bmuhlestein@blanding.city or by mail to the address above. Verbal comments will also be accepted during the public meeting.
