NOTICE OF CERTIFICATION OF ANNEXATION PETITION Pursuant to Utah Code 10-2-208, the City of Hyde Park, Utah, hereby provides notice as follows: 1. On December 10, 2025, a petition proposing the annexation of real property located at approximately 200 North 900 West, Hyde Park, Utah, Cache County, and encompassing approximately 2.46 acres was filed with the City of Hyde Park by Ty Measom (LOC Properties, LLC). 2. On January 10, 2025, the Hyde Park City Council accepted the Petition to be further considered and authorized the Petition to be certified by City Staff. 3. On January 21, 2026, City Staff certified that the Petition meets the requirements of Utah State Law and notice was provided to the Hyde Park City Council, the contact sponsors, and the Cache County Commission. 4. The 2.46-acre area proposed for annexation in the petition shown on the attached map and includes the following parcel 04-015-0008. 5. The complete Annexation Petition is available for inspection and copying at the Hyde Park City Office, 113 East Center, Hyde Park, Utah, Monday through Thursday during regular business hours. 6. The City of Hyde Park may grant the Petition and annex the above-described area unless a written protest to the Annexation Petition is filed with: Hyde Park City Recorder Hyde Park City Office 113 East Center Hyde Park, UT, 84318 7. A copy of the protest must also be delivered to the Hyde Park City Recorder at the address noted above on the same date that the protest is filed with the Cache County Boundary Commission. Any protest must be filed no later than February 21, 2026. A protest to this annexation may be filed by the governing body of an affected entity or an owner of rural real property located within the area proposed for annexation. To file a protest, submit a written statement that states each reason and justification including relevant documentation. Provide the name and mailing address of a contact person to receive notice from the Boundary Commission. 8. If a valid, timely protest is not filed, the Hyde Park City Council will provide notice and hold a public hearing to gather public input on the Petition, after which they will consider approval or denial of the Petition. If a valid protest is filed, no public hearing will be held until after receipt of the Cache County Boundary Commission's decision on the protest. 9. The area proposed for annexation to the City of Hyde Park will also be annexed to have Hyde Park City provide water, garbage and sewer services, Smithfield City provide fire services, and the North Park Police Department provide law enforcement services.
