Notice - Opportunity for Public Hearing
The City of South Salt Lake, in coordination with the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT), invites the public to request a public hearing regarding proposed improvements to State Street at Wentworth Avenue. As part of its 'Life on State' construction project, South Salt Lake is proposing the following traffic control measures to increase safety and reduce accidents including closing the left turn lane from Wentworth Avenue northbound onto State Street by extending an existing center median curb on State Street at the Wentworth Avenue intersection.
Any person with a social, economic or environmental interest in the project may request in writing that a public hearing be held. Requests for a public hearing will be accepted until January 30, 2026. Requests may be submitted in writing via email to: aandrus@sslc.gov or by mail to: South Salt Lake City, c/o Ariel Andrus, 220 East Morris Avenue, South Salt Lake City, Utah 84115. All mail or email must be postmarked on or before January 30, 2026.
