PURPOSE OF PUBLIC NOTICE
THE PURPOSE OF THIS PUBLIC NOTICE IS TO DECLARE THE STATE OF UTAH'S INTENTION TO TERMINATE A UTAH POLLUTANT DISCHARGE ELIMINATION SYSTEM (UPDES) PERMIT UNDER AUTHORITY OF THE UTAH WATER QUALITY ACT, SECTION 19-5-104 AND 107, UTAH CODE ANNOTATED 1953, AS AMENDED. SAID 'PERMIT' REFERS TO UPDES PERMIT AND THE STATEMENT OF BASIS

BACKGROUND
The owner of the Beryl Junction Ecodrum Treatment Facility has requested that its permit be terminated, as it no longer processes any biosolids. The practice ceased in 2022, and they do not plan to restart it. At this time, a permit is no longer necessary, and therefore, the Division of Water Quality intends to terminate the permit at the end of this Public Comment Period
PUBLIC COMMENTS
Pursuant to Utah Admin. Code R317-8-6(6.6), any interested person may submit written comments on the termination of the Beryl Junction EcoDrum Permit (UTL026077) and may request a public hearing if no hearing has already been scheduled. A request for a public hearing shall be in writing and shall state the nature of the issues proposed to be raised in the hearing. All comments will be considered in making the final decision and shall be answered as provided in Utah Admin. Code R317-8-6(6.12).
Public comments are invited any time prior to the deadline of the close of business on February 16, 2026. After considering public comments, the Director of the Division of Water Quality will issue a final Permit decision. The draft Permit documents are available for public review under 'Public Participation' at www.waterquality.utah.gov/.
