Notice is hereby given of an interim position available on the Dutch John Town Council. This appointment is for a term expiring December 31, 2027.
Submission of names of persons interested in fulfilling the position must be received by Harriet Dickerson, Clerk, no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday January 23, 2026. Submission may be in person at the Town office, by mail, P. O. Box 235, Dutch John, Utah 84023, or by email:hdickerson@dutchjohn.gov. No names will be accepted after that time.
Interested persons must also submit a conflict of interest disclosure statement as required by Utah Code 10-3-301.5. Forms are available from the Town Clerk and must also be submitted with your name by the deadline. The Clerk will post these disclosures electronically on the Town website within two business days of receipt and keep them available for at least 10 calendar days following the appointment.
Interested persons must be registered active voters in Dutch John, maintain a principal place of residence within the Town (as defined in Utah Code 10-3-301) and meet all qualifications for holding office (See Utah Code 20A-1-510, 10-3-301 and 10-3-301.5, including conflicting roles or extended absences without Council consent).
Said position will be filled on January 28, 2026, at the regularly scheduled Town Council Meeting, to be held at 530 South Blvd., Dutch John Conference Hall commencing at 7:00 p.m. Interviews will be conducted during the open public meeting on said date for each individual whose name is submitted for consideration who meets the qualification for office.
