NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE OF VACANCY ON THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE SOUTH SALT LAKE VALLEY MOSQUITO ABATEMENT DISTRICT
Murray City needs to appoint a person to serve on the Board of Trustees of the South Salt Lake Valley Mosquito Abatement District ('Board'). The appointment shall be for a term of four years. The person appointed to the Board must, at all times during the term of office, be a resident and registered voter of Murray City.
Qualified persons interested in being considered for appointment to the Board shall submit a written application to the City Council Office, 10 East 4800 South, Second Floor, Room 290, Murray, Utah 84107, no later than 5:00 p.m., February 17, 2026. Applications are available at the Council Office or online at www.murray.utah.gov .
On March 3, 2026, at the hour of 6:30 p.m. of said day in the Council Chambers of Murray City Hall, 10 East 4800 South, Murray, Utah, the Murray City Municipal Council will hold and conduct a hearing on and pertaining to the appointment to the Board. At the hearing the Murray Municipal Council will comply with the Open and Public Meetings Act in making the appointment, allow any interested person to be heard, review all applications, and make an appointment.
The purpose of this hearing is to receive public comment concerning the appointment.

Notice of Electronic or Telephone Participation
Council Members may participate in the meeting via telephonic communication. If a Council Member does participate via telephonic communication, the Council Member will be on speaker phone. The speaker phone will be amplified so that the other Council Members and all other persons present in the Council Chambers will be able to hear all discussions.

The Council meets the first and third Tuesday of each month. An annual meeting schedule is adopted and published in a newspaper of general circulation at the beginning of the year. Meeting agendas are also published on the City's website, as are approved
