PUBLIC NOTICE NOTICE OF VACANCY PLEASANT GROVE CITY COUNCIL Due to the resignation of Eric Jensen, who is now serving as Mayor, there is a vacancy on the Pleasant Grove City Council. The public is hereby notified of the vacancy and process by which the City Council will receive applications and act to appoint a registered voter to fill the unexpired term of the vacated office. Anyone desiring to fill the vacant seat at on the Pleasant Grove City Council must be a registered voter and must have resided within the City for twelve consecutive months immediately prior to the date of the appointment, among other qualifications described in UCA § 10-3-301. Those interested in filling the vacancy should submit an application in its entirety to the City Recorder by JANUARY 21, 2026 at 12:00 PM NOON. The application may be found on the City website. If you have any questions please contact the City Recorder at 801-922-4528. In an open meeting on January 27, 2026 starting at 6:00 PM in the City Council Chambers at 108 South 100 East, Pleasant Grove, Utah, the City Council will interview each individual who has submitted an application and who meets the qualifications for office, regarding the individual's qualifications and fitness for office. In accordance with the procedures of UCA § 20A-1-510, the Council will then make the appointment of the vacated office. The individual appointed by the City Council shall be sworn in and shall serve as a member of the Pleasant Grove City Council for the remainder of the vacated term - until December 31, 2027.
