Needs Review
The Epi/Informatics Exec committee reviewed the continuation application for the 'Strengthening STD Prevention and Control for Health Departments (STD PCHD)' cooperative agreement. A motion was made to recommend approval of the application as proposed, and in the next year continue talking with the program about what STI activities should look like in Utah's public health system so that we are prepared for the next competitive cycle to align the application with that conversation. This is the same grant that the STD Program has had for the past 7 years. This has been coined a 'Bridge Cost Extension' by the CDC but is simply another year of funding as a continuing application. The only difference is it is in the 8th year of a 5-year grant cycle. There are no other special exceptions.
