MYTON CITY COUNCIL MID-TERM VACANCY PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of a Midterm City Council Vacancy in Myton City, Utah. Any person interested in serving as a City Council Member and meeting the following eligibility and residency requirements is hereby invited to complete an application. The appointed City Council Member will serve through the vacated term of Council Member ending December 31, 2027. Eligibility and Residency Requirements: 1) Candidates must be a United States citizen at time of filing for candidacy. 2) Candidates must be at least 18 years of age at the time of the appointment. 3) Candidates must be a legal resident of the municipality for 12 consecutive months immediately preceding the date of appointment. 4) Candidate must be a registered voter of the municipality. Pursuant to Utah Constitution Article IV, Section 6, any mentally incompetent person, any person convicted of a felony, or any person convicted of treason or a crime against the elective franchise may not hold office in this state until the right to vote or hold elective office is restored as provided by statute. Application: Please contact the City Recorder, for an application via email at cboren@mytoncityut.gov or in person at the city office building 125 E main Myton UT 84052 between the hours of 9:00 am and 2:30 p.m. Application Deadline: The application must be received by Tuesday January 13th 2026 at 10:30 A.M. Applications can be mailed to: Myton City P.O. Box 185 Myton UT 84052 Applications will also be accepted at the city office building or can be emailed to cboren@mytoncityut.gov. Meeting for Interviews: The City Council will hold a regular council meeting on Tuesday January 13th, 2026, starting at 6:30 P.M. to interview and select the candidates. This meeting will be held at the Myton City Office 125 E Main Myton Ut 84052. Interviews will be conducted in person
