SALT LAKE CITY CORPORATION SALT LAKE CITY COUNCIL SYNOPSIS OF SALT LAKE CITY ORDINANCE 64 of 2025 The Salt Lake City Council, at its October 21, 2025, meeting adopted an Ordinance closing portions of the public right-of-way at approximately 6500 West Interstate 80 Eastbound Freeway. The proposal allows the petitioner to purchase these portions of right-of-way to include in their property boundary for future railroad-related uses. There are no existing structures on the property. These are areas that were platted and dedicated to the City for use as public streets but were never constructed. Located within Council District 2. Petitioner: Salt Lake Garfield & Western Railway, the property owners. Petition No.: PLNPCM2025-00432.
