The meeting was opened by Mayor Terry Nelson. Invocation by Scott Ross.

Discussion and Action Items
Review Election Returns & Finalize Election Results
Sherita Schaefer led the discussion on the municipal canvass, indicating that the primary purpose of the meeting was to certify the election results. She noted that there are 884 active registered voters in the town, with 568 ballots cast, resulting in a voter turnout of 64%. Sherita reviewed the election outcomes, stating that Annette Ash received 418 votes for mayor, while Justin Brown was also running. For the town council, Cheryl Burgan received 258 votes, Scott Ross received 345 votes, and Ted Jeppesen and Dave Ornelas were also candidates. She clarified that a total of 1,053 votes were cast and mentioned that some ballots were submitted late or for the wrong precinct.
Jared Jeppsen made a motion to accept the results of the 2025 Mantua Municipal General Elections as submitted by the election clerk, Karen Nelson seconded.
