NOTICE OF VACANCY SANPETE COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION BOARD MEMBER 1. Notice of Vacancies: Two (2) positions on the Sanpete County Planning Commission Board will become vacant. 2. Description of the 'Sanpete County Planning Commission': Sanpete County Board of Commissioners created an appointed commission of seven (7) members, to be known as the Sanpete County Planning Commission. Each of the seven (7) members of the Planning Commission shall serve as such, with limited compensation set forth by the Board of County Commissioners, including reimbursement for actual expenses incurred upon presentation of proper receipts and vouchers. 3. Board Duties: The Sanpete County Planning Commission Board holds meetings monthly or as needed. The Planning Commission shall be an advisory body unless otherwise designated in this code as a land use authority. The Planning Commission shall have the powers and duties as listed in the Sanpete County Land Use Ordinance 14.16.040. 4. Appointing Authority: The appointing authority for the positions is the Sanpete County Commission. 5. General Qualifications: Must reside within Sanpete County. All Board seats are 'at large.' 6. Term: The appointment will be for three (3) years. Members may serve additional terms as determined to be in the best interests of the County. 7. Appointment Procedure: All applicants must obtain and complete a written application for appointment available at the Sanpete County Clerk's Office at 160 North Main Ste. #202, Manti, Utah 84642 or submit an alternative application. The deadline for receiving applications is Monday, January 12th, 2026 at 12:00 pm (noon). The contact person at Sanpete County is County Clerk Linda Christiansen (435-835-2131 ext.223). The applications and qualifications will be reviewed and considered for appointment at the County Commission meeting scheduled for Tuesday, January 20th, 2026 (To verify agenda time contact the County Clerk's Office at (435) 835-2131 ext.5.) The County Commission will allow interested parties to be heard at the meeting.
