Orangeville City Council Public Hearing Minutes November 13, 2025 6:30 P.M. Present at said meeting were: Mayor- Shaun Bell, Council Members- Tracy Addley, Kari Alton, Kirk McQuivey, Kevin Butler, City Recorder- Amanda Lake, Treasurer- Dani Tuttle, Zoning Admin.- Seth Manning, Maintenance- Travis Richards Visitors: Lana McQuivey, Bart Cox, Michael Jewkes, Brian Jewkes, PUBLIC HEARING 1. Introduction by Mayor Bell 2. Open Public Hearing Meeting: Motion: Kari Alton Second: Kevin Butler Motion passed with 4 affirmative votes. 3. Accept Public Comments- No Comments 4. Discuss possible ideas for the CDBG Grant: Dani Tuttle explained that the CDBG Grant has a lot of regulations that have to be followed. She gave some example of ideas that the grant could be used for. Some of the ideas that the Council gave were main street beautification, expand the Community Center and combine it as a youth center. Putting a commercial kitchen in the Community Center. Recreational center with rock climbing walls etc., Park renovations, splash pad at the park, baseball field updates, parking facility at the park by the pickleball fields, and renovations at the dog kennels. This was just a discussion and the Council will hold another public hearing to discuss this and decide on a project to put into applying for this grant. 5. Close Public Hearing and Motion to move into Regular City Council Meeting: Motion: Doug Stilson Second: Kirk McQuivey Motion passed with 4 affirmative votes.
