RESOLUTION #: 12-15-2025
A resolution of the Beaver City Council to change the name of 'BEAVER CITY, UT' to
'WRIGHT CITY, USA', today, December 15, 2025.
WHEREAS, Beaver City is a municipal corporation duly organized and existing under the laws of the State of
Utah; and
WHEREAS, the Beaver City Council is the legislative body responsible for the governance and general welfare
of its residents; and
WHEREAS, the Beaver City Council has determined, in recognition of the Wright Family, the world
championship won by Ryder Wright in 2024, and Stetson Wright and Statler Wright in 2025, and the total of
the championships, accomplishments, and contributions of the entire Wright Family to our community, county,
and state, that a change in its official municipal name for today, December 15, 2025, is in the best interest of
Beaver City and its residents; and
WHEREAS, Utah Code authorizes a municipality to change its name by adopting an ordinance or resolution and
following the statutory procedures; and
WHEREAS, the proposed new name, 'Wright City, USA,' has been selected to represent our community for
today, December 15, 2025.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that,
- The Beaver City Council hereby approves the change of the official name of the municipality from
'Beaver City, Utah' to 'Wright City, USA' for today, December 15, 2025.
- PASSED AND APPROVED by the Beaver City Council, Utah, this 15th day of December 2025.
