NOTICE OF VACANCY GLEN CANYON SPECIAL SERVICE DISTRICT OF BIG WATER ADMINISTRATIVE CONTROL BOARD Notice is hereby given that one ( 1) vacancy exists on the Administrative Control Board of the Glen Canyon Special Service District of Big Water. This notice is being given by Big Water Municipal, as the appointing authority in accordance with Utah Code Annotated §§ 17B-1-3041 and the provisions governing administrative control boards in Title 17D Chapter 1. Position and Term of Office The vacant position is for one (l) member of the Administrative Control Board of the Glen Canyon Special Service District of Big Water The member will serve a four year term beginning on the date of appointment and ending December 31, 2029. Qualifications To be considered for appointment an individual must be a registered voter residing in the District boundaries or an officer or employee of Big Water Municipal per Utah Code 17D-1-304 Procedures for Appointment Pursuant to Utah State Codes 17D-1-103 and 17B-1-304, the Big Water Town Council, as the appointing authority, will allow any qualified, interested persons to be heard in an open meeting on January 16, 2026. The Big Water Town Council will consider submitted letters of intent and make the appointment via majority vote and adopted Resolution at the open meeting on January 21,2026 Letters of Intent Any interested persons should submit a letter of intent that includes: *Name, address, and contact information *A description of why the applicant is interested in volunteering as a board member and how the applicant feels they can contribute to the District. *A statement confirming the applicant meets the statutory qualifications Deadline for Letters of Intent: Letters of intent must be received no later than 3:00 pm on January 16, 2026.
