VARIANCES
B-2-2025 Danny Quintana, representing the property owner is requesting two variances from the West
Valley City Code. The first variance is regarding Section 7-9-114(4)(e) which requires that the
front yard not be paved with a hard surface more than 50%. The applicant is requesting a
variance of 30% to allow the existing concrete to remain, which totals 80% of the front yard.
The second variance is regarding Section 7-6-202 which requires that the setback for attached
structures on the garage side of the dwelling in an R-1-7 zone be 10 feet. The applicant is
requesting a variance of 10 feet so that an existing pergola can remain as constructed. The
property is located at 5692 West Shady Pine Lane and is zoned R-1-7.
