- The Cache County Fire District is seeking interested persons willing to be considered for appointment to the Cache County Fire District Board of Trustees. There are two vacancies: one representing cities or towns located north of Highway 30, and one representing cities or towns located south of Highway 30. To qualify, individuals must be currently elected Mayors of cities or towns within the boundaries of the Fire District, which includes all areas of Cache County except Logan City, and must reside within the Fire District. A public meeting will be held at the Cache County Historic Courthouse (199 North Main Street, Logan, UT) on January 8, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. Interested Mayors should plan to attend and briefly address the Fire District Board of Trustees regarding their interest in serving. Members of the public may also attend to be heard. Following the hearing, the Fire District Board of Trustees will recommend two individuals for appointment. Final ratification of these appointments will be made by the Cache County Council, with appointments becoming effective immediately upon ratification.
