Gunnison announces a vacancy in the City Council created by the resignation of Council Member Michael Wanner, who was recently elected as Mayor. The Council is accepting names of individuals willing to fulfill the remainder of the vacant term of January 7, 2026 - January 2028. The City Council will interview interested persons and fill this vacancy at a meeting to be held on the following date: Wednesday, January 7th, 2025, at 7:00 pm At Gunnison City Hall 38 West Center Street, Gunnison, UT 84634 Any qualified person interested in being considered for appointment to the vacant council position may submit their application to Valerie Andersen, City Recorder. Applications must be accepted in person, during regular city office hours no later than Monday, January 5th, 2026, at 5:00 pm.
