Preliminary Minutes of Southwestern Special Service District Meeting held on Thursday November 20, 2025, 7:00 pm at the Winchester Hills Fire Station, Winchester Hills, Utah I. Call to Order A. Invocation Rich Kelly B. Pledge of Allegiance. Chief Christensen C. Attendance Ferris, Rich, Kathy, Chief Christensen, Don Ruesch excused out of town. II. Public comments No Public present III. Reports A. Fire Chief's Report - 8 calls 1 illegal burn the rest were medical, engine 82 not building air needed a new filter dryer, radios installed in all trucks, block wall got fixed and our annual Trunk or Treat was a success! B. Approve September 2025 minutes - Rich made a motion to approve the September 2025 minutes, Cheryl 2nd that motion approved unanimously with board members present IV. Approval of Financial Reports A. Rich financial reports - Kathy made a motion to approve the July, August, and September financial report, Cheryl 2nd that motion approved unanimously with board members present. B. Bills - 3 checks to sign, Tatum for November, 450.00 Tatum last 3 months, Fuel bill on trucks, 2 months gas, electric bill, Cheryl made a motion to approve the bills, Kathy 2nd that motion approved unanimously with board members present. C. Deposits - 2 from the state of Utah, taxes, Impact fees V. Business A. Discussed Proposed Budget for 2026 B. Discuss 2026 meeting schedule - Make new 2026 schedule for December meeting C. Christmas party Dec 6, at 11 am at the fire station. D. Ferris reserved the fire station for March 17, 2026, for the Republican Cacus E. Public Hearing in December F. December 20, the light parade and Santa at the Fire Station Rich made a motion to adjourn, Cheryl 2nd that motion approved unanimously with board members present Next meeting scheduled for December 18, 2025
