NOTICE AND AGENDA
Pursuant to 52-4-6(2), UCA, notice is hereby given that the Monroe Trails Committee of Monroe City, Sevier County, Utah, will hold a regular committee meeting on the above date at the City Office, 10 N Main, commencing at 4:00 p.m. The agenda shall be as follows: (The order of business may be changed as time permits.)
1. Welcome and Call to Order: Committee Chairperson
2. Roll Call
3. Approve 2025-10-13 Meeting Minutes
4. Public Input
5. Business
a. Obtaining Easements
1. County requested obtaining recorded easements because of similar challenges with Richfield trails
2. Plan to utilize J&D to write legal descriptions
3. Work with various land owners (county / city / private) to get recorded easements that will survive ownership changes
b. County also requested to use some of our county funds for a pit toilet at the south end of the Foothill Trail
1. Cost comparison with similar existing toilets installed (Landing Zone toilet ~$42,000)
2. Possible locations for a pit toilet on south end of Foothill Trail
1 North side of canyon road, right at the start of the trail
2 South side of canyon road, share with fish pond
3. Ongoing maintenance responsibility?
c. Foothill Trail Updates
1. Discuss plan to move forward on portions not needing recorded easements
2. Discuss avoidance area options
3. To bridge or not to bridge?
d. Joe Town Trail Updates
1. Need help re-flagging?
2. Can anything be done prior to BLM final approval?
e. Moving Forward
1. Plan on monthly meeting cadence if possible
2. Trail construction progress updates
