Town of Cannonville - Planning Commission Meeting Minutes November 19, 2025 Town of Cannonville held a Planning Commission Meeting, Wednesday, November 19, 2025, in the town Hall. The meeting began at 5:06 pm. Purpose of the meeting was to continue to review the ongoing changes to the Town of Cannonville Zoning Ordinance. Public in Attendance: Bill Scoffield, Erik McDonald, Board Members: Peter Jensen (excused), Klancy Ott, Cole Twitchell (excused), Mark Nelson & Chelsea Nielson Reading and approval of the Agenda/Minutes: The agenda was adopted. Motion Mark Nelson, 2nd Klancy Ott, all in favor. Minutes of the previous Planning Commission meeting held June 18, 2025 were reviewed and approved. Motion Mark Nelson, 2nd Klancy Ott, all in favor. Discussion: Bill Scoffield led the discussions in Mr. Pete Jensen's absence. He indicated he had a recent conversation with Justin Wayment, town attorney, about Utah State changing some reference material that directly affects our new zoning ordinance, and that he, J Wayment would need more time to make changes and complete the review, hence the public meeting planned for tonight's Town Council meeting to adopt the zoning ordinance would be rescheduled. He also indicated that those changes would affect our new subdivision ordinance Teresa & Geo Thompson's site plan for their new home was reviewed and discussed. There were site drawings, septic and culinary water reports. The setbacks were all in order as well. The recommendation was to move it forward to the town council for their approval. Bill Scoffield reviewed the building permit for the Myriah & Marshall Thompson property and their request for variances as they move forward to get building permits, after the fact, from the county, and clear their red-tag letter. Adjourned: Motion to adjourn by Klancy Ott, 2nd by Chelsea Nielson, all in favor: adjourned 5:26pm.
