NOTICE OF VACANCY
VINEYARD CITY COUNCIL
Due to the resignation of Sara Cameron, there is a vacancy on the Vineyard City Council. The public is hereby notified of the vacancy and the process by which the City Council will receive applications and act to appoint a registered voter to fill the unexpired term of the vacated office.
Anyone desiring to fill the vacant seat on the Vineyard City Council must be a registered voter and must have resided within the City for twelve consecutive months immediately prior to the date of appointment, among other qualifications described in UCA § 10-3-301.
Those interested in filling the vacancy on the Council should submit an application in its entirety to the Deputy City Recorder at tonyl@vineyardutah.org and pay the $50 filing fee, by December 1, 2025, at 12:00 PM. In addition to the application, candidates are encouraged to submit a letter including a statement of interest and summary of qualifications. In an open meeting on December 10, 2025, starting at 5:00 PM., or as soon thereafter as possible following the RDA meeting, in the City Council Chambers at 125 South Main Street, Vineyard, Utah, the City Council will interview each individual who has submitted an application and who meets the qualifications for office, regarding the individual's qualifications and fitness for office. In accordance with the procedures of UCA § 20A-1-510, the Council will then make the appointment to the vacated office.
The individual appointed by the City Council shall be sworn in on the date appointed and shall serve as a member of the Vineyard City Council for the remainder of the vacated term - until December 31, 2027.
I, the undersigned, duly appointed City Recorder for Vineyard, Utah, hereby certify that the foregoing Public Notice was posted at the Vineyard City Office, on the Vineyard City website, and on the Utah Public Notice website.
