I, Gabriel Woytek, Grand County Clerk/Auditor, hereby give notice pursuant to Utah Election Code 20A-5-101 for the regular general election to be held on November 3, 2026. The candidate filing periods are as follows: Declaration of Candidacy filing period for qualified party candidates: Friday, January 2, 2026 at 8:00am and ends at 5:00pm, Thursday, January 8, 2026. Declaration of Candidacy filing period for local board of education candidates: Friday, January 2, 2026 at 8:00am and ends at 5:00pm, Thursday, January 8, 2026. Declaration of Candidacy filing period for registered political party candidates: Friday, January 2, 2026 at 8:00am and ends at 5:00pm, Monday, April 27, 2026. Declaration of Candidacy filing period for justices and judges of a court of record: Wednesday, July 1, 2026 and ends at 5:00pm, Wednesday, July 15, 2026. Declaration of Candidacy filing period for candidates not affiliated with a political party: Friday, January 2, 2026 at 8:00am and ends at 5:00pm, Monday, June 15, 2026. Declaration of intent to gather signatures* period for qualified political party candidates: Friday, January 2, 2026 at 8:00 a.m. and ends January 8, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. Registered political party candidates must submit nomination petition signatures no later than 5:00pm, Tuesday, March 31, 2026. Candidates not affiliated with a political party must submit certificates of nomination no later than 5:00pm, Monday, June 15, 2026.
