- PUBLIC NOTICE Notice of Vacancy - Kane County Recreation and Transportation Special Service District Notice is hereby given that the Kane County Recreation and Transportation District's Administrative Control Board is looking to fill one (1) vacant position. The term for this position will expire 12/31/2029. Each subsequent term will be 4 years in length. In conjunction with the seat on the Recreation and Transportation Board, the position will also serve on the Kane County Resource Development Committee for 2 two-year terms. Applicants wishing to apply for this position must be a property owner within Kane County. Anyone interested in filling this position may submit a signed letter of intent and a brief resume to the following address: Kane County Commission c/o Morgan Shakespear 76 N Main Street, Kanab, UT 84741 Hand delivered letters may be dropped off in the Clerk's Office at the Kane County Admin Building. Email submissions can be sent to: mshakespear@kane.utah.gov Please submit letters of intent by 5:00 pm, Wednesday, December 10, 2025. Applicants will be interviewed by the commissioner assigned as a liaison to the district, who will then make a recommendation for appointment to the full County Commission.
