BOARD MEETING OPENS FOR CLOSED SESSION (if needed) 4:30 pm The Board may go into closed session for any of the permissible purposes outlined in Utah Code §52-4-205. 2. Advance notice of the specific concern(s) will allow the superintendent, or superintendent's designee, to be prepared to fully discuss those concerns at the board meeting. 1. REQUEST TO SPEAK Note: Persons requesting to speak to the Board of Education in an open meeting must sign up prior to the start of the open session of the Board meeting. Fifteen minutes total have been scheduled for persons requesting to speak. Three minutes will be allotted for each speaker. If we receive more requests than the allotted time permits, those requests may be scheduled for the next board meeting. To sign to speak during public comment, please contact Helen Butz at helen.butz@slcschools.org or by phone at 801.578.8351. individuals may also sign up in person prior to the start of Board meeting, however, there is no guarantee that space will still be available. Resolution of questions or responses to proposals should not be expected at this meeting; staff or others may be asked to research and/or prepare materials and solutions for a later time. PUBLIC COMMENT ON POTENTIAL SCHOOL CLOSURE, SPECIAL PROGRAM CLOSURE, AND GRADE RECONFIGURATION: Note Persons requesting to speak to the Board of Education about the potential closure of Innovations Early College High School, reconfiguration of Nibley Park School from a K-8 school model to a K-6 elementary school and discontinuation of grades 4-6 magnet services at Washington Elementary School need to sign up prior to the start of the open session of the Board meeting.
