NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
WASATCH FRONT WASTE AND RECYCLING DISTRICT
2026 TENTATIVE BUDGET AND FEE INCREASE
The Board of Trustees of Wasatch Front Waste and Recycling District hereby gives notice of its 2026 Tentative Budget and Fee Increase Public Hearing.
Date: Monday, November 17, 2025
Time: 6:00 p.m.
Place: The District Offices located at 604 West 6960 South, Midvale Utah 84047. This meeting will also be held electronically via Webex.

Wasatch Front Waste and Recycling District:
- Has tentatively adopted a 2026 Budget, which will be further discussed and considered during the Public Hearing
- Intends to keep the residential curbside base rate the same
- Intends to add a payment transaction fee of up to three percent (3%)
- Intends to add a recycling contamination fee of $25.00
- Intends to add a late set-out return pick-up fee of $25.00
- Intends to increase other Special Service fee for side load and front load container services associated with garbage five percent (5%)
- Intends to increase the fee for Special Clean-up Services for Municipalities $10.00 for a 14-yard roll-off container or a bulk waste trailer and $2.00 per ton for additional tonnage over one (1) ton
- Intends to increase the fee $5.00 for certified/notarized records
- Intends to increase the fee for extensive research for records requests $17.25 per hour

Public comments on the District's 2026 Tentative Budget and proposed fees may be emailed to cgarcia@wfwrfdutah.gov by Sunday, November 16th at 9:00 p.m. and will be read at the Public Hearing. The District will also receive public comments as follows:
During the Public Hearing, all interested persons in attendance in person and on-line will be given an opportunity to be heard concerning the estimates of revenues and expenditures or any item in the District's Tentative 2026 Budget. Another purpose of the Public Hearing is to hear comments regarding the proposed fee increases.
