NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Notice of Proposed Permanent School Closure Lomond View Elementary - Weber School District The Weber School District Board of Education is considering permanently closing Lomond View Elementary School (3644 N 900 W, Pleasant View, UT 84414) at the end of the 2025-2026 school year. If approved, district boundaries will be adjusted to reassign students to nearby schools while maintaining access to quality education and balanced enrollment. A public hearing on this matter is scheduled for November 12, 2025. See details below. As part of this process, the district has formed a boundary study committee that will review the potential closure and potential new boundaries if Lomond View Elementary is closed. The study will focus on Orchard Springs, North Ogden, and Lomond View. Public Hearing Details Date: November 12, 2025 Time: 6:00 p.m. Location: Lomond View Elementary, 3644 N 900 W, Pleasant View, UT 84414 Meeting Type: Open Board Meeting Purpose: To receive public input and consider formal action regarding the proposed closure of Lomond View Elementary In-Person Public Comment Opportunities In addition to the hearing, community members are encouraged to share feedback during the following regularly scheduled board meetings and events: October 1, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. - Weber School District Offices (Board Meeting) October 9, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. - District Open House to review school boundary proposals and share feedback directly with the District Boundary Team. This is not a public hearing. November 5, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. - Weber School District Offices (Board Meeting) Please contact Pam Wahlen at 801-476-7826 to register for public comment at the October 1 or November 5 board meetings. Public Comment Period Community members may also submit written comments to Heather Neilson, Director of Elementary Education, either by email or by mail at the following addresses.
