NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR PROPOSED ANNEXATION
Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Saratoga Springs, Utah, at their meeting of October 21, 2025, approved Resolution R25-56 (10-21-25), pursuant to Utah Code § 10-2-812, indicating its intent on annexing property which constitutes all or part of an unincorporated island or peninsula of Utah County, a county of the second class, contiguous to and/or surrounded by land of the City of Saratoga Springs, Utah, which property is more specifically described as follows:
A parcel of land situated being a portion of Sections 3, 10 & 11, Township 6 South, Range 1 West, Salt Lake Base and Meridian, said parcel being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the Southerly boundary Line of the City of Saratoga Springs, said point also being the North Quarter Corner of Section 11, Township 6 South, Range 1 West, Salt Lake Base and Meridian (Basis of bearings is North 89°58'00' East between said North Quarter Corner and the Northeast Corner of said Section 11, Township 6 South, Range 1 West, Salt Lake Base and Meridian) and running thence along said City of Saratoga Springs Boundary Line the following (7) courses: 1) North 89°58'00' East 2746.993 feet to said Northeast Corner of Section 11; 2) South 00°00'59' West 2628.060 feet to the East Quarter Corner of said Section 11; 3) South 00°01'53' West 1317.338 feet to the Southeast Corner of the North Half of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 11; 4) South 89°59'37' West 2746.550 feet to the Southwest Corner of the North Half of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 11; 5) along the Quarter Section Line North 00°00'54' East 1316.347 feet to the intersection of the East-West Quarter Section Line; 6) along said East-West Quarter Section Line South 89°58'22' West 1369.540 feet to the Northwest Corner of the West Half of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 11; 7) along the East Line of said West Half of the Southwest Quarter South 00°04'39' West 2633.477 feet to the Southeast Corner of said West Half of the Southwest Quarter; thence along the South Line of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 11 South 89°56'25' West 1372.420 feet to the Southwest Corner of said Section 11; thence North 00°09'08' East 2634.265 feet to the Quarter Corner common to said Section 11 and Section 10, T6S, R1W, SLB&M; thence along the East-West Quarter Section Line of said Section 10 South 89°56'44' West 1324.142 feet to the Southwest Corner of the East Half of said Section 10; thence along the West Line of said East Half of Section 10 North 00°00'12' West 2636.000 feet to the Northwest Corner of said East Half of Section 10; thence North 89°54'39' West 1320.810 feet to the Quarter Corner common to said Section 10 and Section 3, T6S, R1W, SLB&M; thence along said Section 3 the following (3) courses: 1) North 89°58'27' West 2643.414 feet to the Southwest Corner of said Section 3; 2) North 00°04'38' East 2630.187 feet to the West Quarter Corner of said Section 3; 3) North 00°06'30' East 2629.144 feet to the Northwest Corner of said Section 3, said point also being a point on the said Southerly boundary Line of the City of Saratoga Springs; thence along said City of Saratoga Springs Boundary Line the following (8) courses: 1) South 89°56'55' East 2533.120 feet to the North Quarter Corner of said Section 3; 2) East 2444.347 feet; 3) South 10°25'57' West 296.932 feet; 4) South 01°12'24' West 245.110 feet to a point on a 2127.993 foot radius non tangent curve to the right, (radius bears South 24°02'18' West, Chord: South 60°24'14' East 412.202 feet); 5) along the arc of said curve 412.850 feet through a central angle of 11°06'57'; 6) South 00°04'22' East 1890.695 feet to the East Quarter Corner of said Section 3; 7) South 00°03'43' West 2631.005 feet to the Southeast Corner of said Section 2; 8) South 89°55'27' East 2742.705 feet to the North Quarter Corner of said Section 11 and the point of beginning.
Property contains 1209.952 acres.
The City of Saratoga Springs City Council will hold a public hearing on the proposed annexation on
December 2nd, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. at City Council Chambers, 319 South Saratoga Road, Saratoga Springs, UT, 84045.
The City Council will annex the area unless, at or before the public hearing, written protests to the annexation are filed by the owners of private real property that: (a) is located within the area proposed for annexation; (b) covers a majority of the total private land area within the entire area proposed for annexation; and (c) is equal in value to at least 1/2 the value of all private real property within the entire area proposed for annexation.
The annexation application and plat map are available for inspection and copying at the office of the City Recorder.
