MAYFIELD TOWN VEARL A. CHRISTIANSEN ANNEXATION NOTICE OF CERTIFICATION OF ANNEXATION PETITION A Petition for Annexation has been filed with Mayfield Town proposing the annexation of an area to Mayfield Town. The Mayfield Town Council received Notice of Certification of the annexation petition on October 24, 2025. The area proposed for annexation is shown in the attached exhibit. Contains: 2.84 acres more or less The area proposed for annexation to Mayfield Town will also automatically be annexed to the Sanpete County Fire Service Area district. Mayfield Town is entirely within the boundaries of the local district that provides fire protection, emergency services, and law enforcement. Mayfield Town may grant the petition and annex the area described in the petition to the Town; If you oppose the annexation, written protest(s) may be filed with the Sanpete County Clerk (Linda Christiansen) and a copy of the protest delivered to the Mayfield Town Recorder. Protests shall be filed with the Sanpete County Clerk, at 160 N Main, Manti, UT, 84642 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 8:00 a.m-12:00 p.m. Fridays, except holidays. A copy of the protest shall also be delivered to Amanda Bennett, Mayfield Town Recorder, 52 North Main, Mayfield, Utah 84643. A protest to the annexation may be filed by the legislative body, a governing body of an affected entity, or the 'owner of rural real property' according to UCA 10-2-407. The deadline for filing protests to the Vearl A. Christiansen Annexation Petition is 4:00 p.m., November 25, 2025. A complete copy of the Vearl A.
