NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Timpanogos Special Service District (the 'District') will hold a public hearing on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at the District Offices located at 6400 North 5050 West, Utah County, Utah. The District intends to increase its service fees. The purpose of the hearing is to receive public comment on a proposed user fee increase of 15% to be effective January 1, 2027. All members of the public are invited to attend and give comments on the proposed increase. The District provides wastewater treatment for the cities of Alpine, American Fork, Cedar Hills, Highland, Lehi, Pleasant Grove and Saratoga Springs, and portions of the cities of Draper, Eagle Mountain, and Vineyard. The current user fee imposed by the District (effective until December 31, 2025) is $4.95 per 1,000 gallons of wastewater with BOD/TSS load. If the proposed 2027 increase is adopted, the user fee will increase from the previously approved 2026 rate of $5.69 to $6.54 per 1,000 gallons of wastewater with BOD/TSS load, and will be effective on January 1, 2027. The District's user fees are included in sewer fees collected by each city and then remitted to the District. The fee increase is required to meet the increased costs of the District's ongoing operations, including financing and paying for significant capital improvements. Due to increasing operational costs and to the costs associated with future capital improvements, additional fee increases may be needed in coming years. The amounts of any such increases will be evaluated each year and if an increase is needed the District will provide public notice and a public hearing. Details of the District's operations and capital improvement projects can be found at the following website: www.timpssd.com After the public hearing is completed, the District Administrative Board may adopt a resolution to increase user fees as proposed, adjust the amount of the increase, decline to increase the fees, or table the matter for consideration at a later public meeting.
