Notice is hereby given that a petition has been filed with Koosharem Town proposing the annexation of certain real property into the municipality.
Date of Certification: October 10th, 2025
Description of Proposed Annexation Area: The area proposed for annexation is described as follows: COM 91 RDS E OF NW COR SW/4 SEC 35 T26S R1W SLM TH E 20 RDS S 40 RDS W 31 RDS N 25 RDS E 11 RDS N 15 RDS TO POB AREA 6.72 ACRES
A complete copy of the annexation petition is available for public inspection and copying at the office of the Koosharem Town Records Officer, located at: 71 N Main St, Koosharem, UT 84744
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
Unless a written protest to the annexation petition is filed within 30 days after the date of certification, the municipality may grant the petition and annex the area described in the petition.
To be valid, a written protest to the annexation petition must:
Be filed with the Sevier County Planning and Zoning Office no later than November 10th, 2025
A copy of the written protest must be delivered to the Koosharem Town Records Officer at the address listed above.

Special District Annexation or Withdrawal Notice: If the area proposed for annexation is not in a special district for fire, paramedic, or law enforcement services-but the annexing municipality is-the area will be automatically annexed into that district. If the area is in such a district but the municipality is not, it will be automatically withdrawn, per Utah Code ยงยง 17B-1-416 and 17B-1-502(2).
