The Utah Board of Oil, Gas and Mining meets on Wednesday, October 22, at 9 a.m. at the Department of Natural Resources building at 1594 West North Temple in Salt Lake City. Opportunity for public comment The Board will hear the following matters as soon as the briefing session concludes: 1. Docket No. 2024-007 Cause No. 199-05 - In the Matter of Request for Agency Action of Perchetti Energy Holdings, LLC for an order requiring an accounting and payment of proceeds from ARB Energy Utah, LLC. (During the August 27, 2025, Board Hearing, the Board requested this matter be heard on the October 22, 2025, Board Hearing.) 2. Docket No. 2025-049Cause No. 132-81 - In the Matter of the Request for Agency Action of SM Energy Company for an order pooling all interests including the compulsory pooling of the interests of certain non-consenting and unknown owners, within a1,920-acre (or substantial equivalent) drilling unit established for theproduction of oil, gas and associated hydrocarbons from the Lower GreenRiver-Wasatch (Colton) Formations, comprised of Sections 19, 30 and 31, Township 2 South, Range 1 West, U.S.M., Duchesne County, Utah. (Thismatter has been continued until November 19, 2025, Hearing Examiner Proceedingand December 3, 2025, Board Hearing). 3. Docket No. 2025-050Cause No. 132-82 - In the Matter of the Request for Agency Action ofSM Energy Company for an order pooling all interests including the compulsorypooling of the interests of certain non-consenting and unknown owners, within a1,280-acre (or substantial equivalent) drilling unit established for theproduction of oil, gas and associated hydrocarbons from the Lower GreenRiver-Wasatch (Colton) Formations, comprised of Sections 30 and 31, Township 2South, Range 1 West, U.S.M., Duchesne County, Utah. Docket No. 2025-045Cause No. 600-10 - In the Matter of the Request for Agency Action of Uinta Gas, LLC for an order establishing separate special diagonal drillingunits and overlapping drilling unit boundary well drilling units for theproduction of oil, gas and associated hydrocarbons from portions of theMesaverde, Blackhawk and Mancos Formations from long lateral horizontal wellscomprised of portions of Sections 2 through 4, 9 through 11, 15 through 17, and20 through 22, Township 9 South, Range 17 East, S.L.M, Duchesne and UintahCounties, Utah. (This matter was continued from the September Board Meeting. The matter has been voluntarily withdrawn, and the Board has dismissed it without prejudice). 5. Docket No. 2025-047 Cause No. 130-41 - In the Matter of the Request for Agency Action of Crescent Uinta, LLC for an order establishing 'lay-down' 1,920-acre and'lay-down' 2,560-acre drilling units for the long lateral horizontal wellproduction of oil, gas and associated hydrocarbons from the Lower Green Riverand Green River-Wasatch Formations of Sections 19-36, T2S, R4W, U.S.M, DuchesneCounty, Utah. 6. Docket No. 2025-048Cause No. 130-42 - In the Matter of the Request for Agency Action of Uinta Wax Operating, LLC for an order partially vacating the Board's orders entered in Cause Nos. 139-151 and 130-12 as pertaining to long lateral horizontal wells and instead establishing two overlapping three-sectional lay-down (horizontal) drilling units for the production of oil, gas and associated hydrocarbons from the Lower Green River-Wasatch Formations through extra-long lateral horizontal wells comprised of Sections 20 through 22, Township 4 South, Range 5 West, U.S.M., and Section 19, Township 4 South, Range 5 West, U.S.M., and Sections 23 and 24, Township 4 South, Range 6 West, U.S.M., all inDuchesne County, Utah. 7. Docket No. 2025-051 Cause No. 130-43 - In the Matter of the Request for Agency Action of FOURPOINT RESOURCES, LLC for an order modifying the Board's orders entered in cause nos. 139-134 and 130-07 to: (1) reduce the heel/toe setbacks from 330 feet to 100 feet for the drilling units comprised of Sections 29 and 32, and Sections 30 and 31, Township 3 South, Range 2 West, U.S.M., Sections 5 and 6, and Sections 7 and 8, Township 4 South, Range 3 West, U.S.M., and Sections 1 and 2 and Sections 11 and 12, Township 4 South, Range 4 West, U.S.M., respectively; and (2) eliminate the 330-ft. setback from the Domingue 1-11-4-4 WH Well, all in Duchesne County, Utah. 8. Docket No. 2025-052 Cause No. 196-54 - In the Matter of the Notice of Agency Action requesting the Board issue an order forfeiting the bond covering wells andfacilities identified as API Numbers 43-019-31622, 43-019-50023 and directing the Division to orphan, plug, and/or reclaim the well sites and facilities. 9. Docket No. 2025-053Cause No. 470-21 - In the Matter of the Request for Agency Action ofANSCHUTZ EXPLORATION CORPORATION for an order: (1) establishing two (2)1,280-Acre (or substantially equivalent) stand-up drilling units for the production of oil, gas and associated hydrocarbons from the Lower Mancos Formation, comprised of Sections 20 and 29, Township 10 South, Range 25 East, S.L.M., and Section 32, Township 10 South, Range 25 East, S.L.M., and Section 4, Township 11 South, Range 25 East, S.L.M., respectively, Uintah County, Utah; and (2) providing exemptions from certain requirements under the Board's orders entered in Cause Nos. 190-03, 190-13, and 190-14 and Utah Administrative Code R649-3-31. 10. Docket No. 2025-054 Cause No. 199-12 - In the Matter of the Request for Agency Action of PERCHETTI ENERGY HOLDINGS, LLC for an order (1) declaring that administrative remedies have been exhausted as an additional accounting would be fruitless or, in the alternative, (2) requiring an accounting and payment of proceeds from Arb Energy Utah, LLC for production from 125 wells in Grand County, Utah. 11. Docket No. 2025-055 Cause No. 196-55 - In the Matter of the Notice of Agency Action requesting the Board issue an order forfeiting the bond covering identified as API Numbers 43-019-5003 & 43-019-31455 and directing the Division to orphan, plug, and/or reclaim the well sites and facilities. 12. Docket No. 2024-074 Cause No. 076-05 - In the Matter of the Notice of Agency Action requesting the Board issue an order forfeiting the bond covering wells and facilities identified as API Numbers 43-007-30122, 43-007-30159, 43-007-30162,43-007-30163, 43-007-30164, 43-007-30589, 43-007-30596, 43-007-30659,43-007-30662, 43-007-30673, 43-007-30717, 43-007-30733, 43-007-30734, 43-007-30735, 43-007-30736, 43-007-30768, 43-007-30786, 43-007-31211, 43-007-31212, 43-007-31213, 43-007-31214, 43-007-31452, 43-007-31453, 43-007-50179, 43-013-32308, 43-049-30024 and directing the Division to orphan, plug, and/or reclaim the well sites and facilities. (The Board will address the Respondent, the Dean Carlyle Shimmin Trust's 'Motion for Extension of Deadline Re: February 5, 2025, Order Granting Relief Requested in the Division's Notice of Agency Action').
