- SALT LAKE CITY CORPORATION SALT LAKE CITY COUNCIL SYNOPSIS OF SALT LAKE CITY ORDINANCE 62 of 2025 The Salt Lake City Council, at its October 7, 2025, meeting adopted an ordinance that would amend sections 2.84.020 and 2.84.030 of the Salt Lake City Code allow for increased capacity of the Salt Lake City Justice Court. The proposal would clarify the City's ability to expand the number of authorized judgeships, subject to Judicial Council approval. This amendment is intended to ensure the Court has the structural capacity to respond to growth in caseloads and community needs.
