MUNICIPAL RESOLUTION

Short Title: Resolution for cancellation of Snowville Town's municipal election 2025.
Purpose: To cancel the election scheduled for November 4, 2025, in Snowville Town and the certification of the election of candidates.
Resolution: Whereas, the Snowville Town Council as the duly elected legislative body of Snowville Town,
Does hereby wish to assert its authority granted under Utah State Code 20A-1-206 to cancel a local election if:
-All municipal officers are elected in an at-large election,
-The number of municipal officer candidates, including any eligible write-in candidates, for the at-large municipal office does not exceed the number of open at-large municipal offices for which the candidates have filed.
-There has been no write-in candidate filing candidacy for Mayor as of the deadline date,
-Each municipal officer candidate is unopposed, and
-There are no other municipal ballot propositions.
Snowville Town Council does hereby declare that all of the above conditions have been met, and resolves to cancel the municipal election scheduled for November 4, 2025. This declaration is no later than 20 days before the day of the scheduled election as required by statute.
Snowville Town Council does hereby certify that Trisha A. Arbon, and Brandon B. Garbanati, having lawfully filed as unopposed candidates for the seat of Council Member, and James D, Beagley having lawfully filed as an unopposed candidate for the seat of Mayor, to be elected on November 4, 2025, are elected to office for a 4-year term to begin January 2026. And
Snowville Town Council does hereby certify that LuAnn Johnson, having lawfully filed as an unopposed candidate for the seat of Council Member to be elected on November 4, 2025, is elected to office for a 2-year term to begin January 2026.
Further, proper notice of the cancellation of the election shall be given as required by UCA 20A-1-206(2).
