PUBLIC NOTICE NOTICE IS HERBY GIVEN THAT the Tooele City Council will hold a public hearing during their business meeting scheduled for Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at 7:00 P.M. in the City Council Chambers of Tooele City Hall located at 90 North Main Street, Tooele, Utah. PUBLIC HEARING on proposed amendments to Tooele City Code §4-8-2 regarding road construction standards for local streets. This amendment is necessary in order to harmonize Tooele City Code with current practices, as well as to continue Tooele City's compliance with House Bill 406 of the 2023 Utah Legislature which established a state-wide maximum paved travel width of 32 feet for local streets, requiring the City to amend its local street asphalt width of 34 feet and right-of-way width of 60 feet to 32 feet and 58 feet, respectively (the 32 feet does not include the City's standard curb and gutter). The amendment also clarifies the allowances for private streets that may be less than the 32-foot standard for public right-of-way. Amendments proposed by Tooele City.
