Description/Agenda
TriCounty Health Department will hold a public hearing for the purpose of receiving feedback on proposed wastewater rule changes. This meeting will be held in the chamber room of Duchesne County Commission Chambers.
Synopsis of proposed changes:
- Contractors will be required to register with TriCounty Health Department so that training in wastewater disposal and treatment can be verified.
- Trained contractors will be allowed to evaluate sites for wastewater disposal without waiting for TriCounty Health Department to verify the work.
- Contractors will be required to notify TriCounty Health Department when evaluating proposed sites and when installing onsite wastewater systems.
- Registrations can be revoked for non-compliance with local and state rules.
- A grievance process will be added if registration is denied or revoked.
- These proposed changes would not alter siting, design, and installation requirements, but would enable contractors to expedite the process.
- Corrects some grammatical and spelling errors.
