Approval of Minutes:
The minutes from the previous meeting were read. Doug motioned to accept the minutes. Troy seconded. All were in favor.
Mayor Updates
The office carpet needs replacement. Cameron and Damon Brown provided samples for Haley & Nikole to review. A discounted carpet and vinyl flooring option was selected and presented to the council. Doug motioned to approve replacing the flooring. Troy seconded. All were in favor.
Mayor Campbell reported that Chris Murdock installed three sprinkler zones, a backflow preventer, an additional valve along the west side of the building, and disconnected the old system on the west side of the JCC. The mayor would like sod laid before the music festival and suggested scheduling a workday.
Nikole reported that the 2025 town election can be canceled since there are no contested races and the write-in deadline has passed. Troy motioned to cancel the 2025 election. Doug seconded. All were in favor.
Water
Cameron Brown requested installation of a water meter on property east of Susan Dowsett's old home. Steve noted possible additional work and charges due to the water line running under the road. Cameron agreed to cover additional costs. Zac motioned to move forward with installation. Doug seconded. All were in favor.
Steve requested installing a digital meter at the chlorinator building to simplify chlorine level readings. Estimated cost is $200. Zac motioned to approve the purchase. Doug seconded. All were in favor.
Planning Commission
Mayor Campbell met with Misty and Jason at the county regarding an Interlocal Agreement. Previously a verbal arrangement, the county now requires a written agreement. Once the town approves a project, it moves to the county, and the town's involvement concludes. The agreement will automatically renew every five years. Zac motioned to move forward with the agreement. Troy seconded. All were in favor.
Cemetery
Alice Peterson requested exchanging two spaces in Block 11 Lot 1 (where existing burials were found) for two spaces in Block 11 Lot 2. Doug motioned to approve the exchange. Zac seconded. All were in favor.
