4. Public Comments (3-5 minutes)- CW Thompson, Wants to annex into the Town of Stockton, South west of town next to the sod farms. Group wants to annex in 1000 acres Will not require water, sewer or garbage. Does not want to work with the county. We would have to set new zoning annexed. Business license- fill out paperwork , present to planning and zoning and pay fee. Fire dept may have to inspect. Take a look at the code and we will all do our research. Needs to be a whole new zone. existing homes Grandfathered.
Problem with county? Cannot get building permits due to size of lots, won't allow rezoning.
Currently updating General Plan, might be a good idea to do this now.
Keeping it Agriculture? No, maybe 2 houses on 40 acres. Smallest is 5 acres.
Not sure how long it will take.
Possibly the Carberrys want in on annexing?? Recommend coming to the next council meeting, august 14th at 7pm.
