Portage Planning Commission Meeting Meeting minutes The Portage Planning Commission met at the Portage Town Hall, 25880 N 9000 W, Portage, Utah, at 7:00, September 3, 2025. The following members were present, constituting a quorum. Attendance: Commissioner Jennifer Richard, Commissioner Chelsie Nelson, Commissioner Hedgecock, Councilmember Bell, Councilmember Laura Nelson, Clerk Gina Marble Visitors: Norma Lasa, Susan Bell, Mayor Max Huggins, Val Gibbs, Martina John Call to Order and Opening Ceremony The meeting was called to order at 6:00 PM. Commissioner Hedgecock led the prayer, and Commissioner Nelson led the Pledge of Allegiance. Approve August 6 and August 13, 2025, Planning & Zoning Minutes The commission reviewed the minutes from the August 6 and August 13, 2025, meetings. Motion by Commission Member Nelson to approve the minutes from Wednesday, August 6, and Wednesday, August 13, 2025. Seconded by Commission Member Richards. Motion carried with unanimous 'Aye' votes. Public Comments Martina John presented information about a potential lot line adjustment. She explained that she owns a parcel and wishes to adjust the property lines to create two lots. She needs to make a small adjustment of a few feet to achieve the required 400 feet across, mentioning that a survey would provide the exact measurements. The resident noted that the property has a road for access, which is approximately 70 feet wide, and that there is a fire hydrant within 500 feet that would service both proposed lots. The resident indicated that she would wait for the survey to be completed before requesting to be placed on the October agenda. Standing Agenda Items There were no other items to discuss. Adjourn Motion by Commission Member Nelson to adjourn the meeting. Seconded by Commission Member Hedgecock. Motion carried with unanimous 'Aye' votes.
