NOTICE OF EARLY VOTING AND BALLOT DROP BOXES
FOR THE 2025 MUNICIPAL AND COUNTYWIDE SPECIAL ELECTION
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the 2025 Municipal and Countywide Special Election will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025.
This notice is published in compliance with:
- Utah Code § 20A-3a-604 - publication at least 28 days before the election, listing early voting site(s);
- Utah Code § 20A-5-403.5 - listing ballot drop box locations.
Ballot Drop Boxes
Registered voters that receive a Vote-by-Mail ballot may return their completed ballot and signed envelope in the mail OR place their completed ballot and signed envelope in one of the three ballot drop boxes listed below:
Grand County Clerk/Auditor's Office City of Moab Recorder's Office
125 East Center Street, Moab 217 East Center Street, Moab
8am - 5pm, Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm, Monday - Thursday
7am - 8pm on Election Day 8am - noon on Fridays
7am - 8pm on Election Day
Castle Valley Town Hall
2 East Castle Valley Dr, Castle Valley
9am - 1pm, Monday - Wednesday
All ballots must be received by the Grand County Clerk/Auditor's Office by 8pm on Election Day to be counted. Postmark dates do not apply. This is a recent change to Utah's election code.
Early Voting (In Person)
The election is open to all registered voters. Voters who did not receive a ballot in the mail or who would prefer to vote in person can vote at the polling place. Grand County's only polling place is at the Grand County Clerk/Auditor's Office. Early and in-person voting will be held there Monday - Friday from October 21 to November 4, between 9am and 4pm, and on Election Day from 7am to 8pm.
Valid Identification is required to vote in person.
Additional Information
The last day to register to vote in this election without a provisional ballot is October 24. To be qualified to vote, individuals must be a citizen of the United States; a resident of Utah for at least the 30 days immediately before the election; 18 years of age on or before the day of the election, and currently residing within the voting district or precinct in which the individual applies to register to vote.
Vote-by-Mail ballots will be sent automatically to active registered voters-unless they have opted out of Vote-by-Mail-twenty-one days before the election.
Voters may sign up to track the status of their ballot at www.ballottrax.utah.gov.
If relevant, changes to dates, times, or locations of ballot boxes or polling places, or the
addition of new ballot boxes or polling places, will be posted at www.grandcountyutah.gov/elections.

www.vote.utah.gov to obtain election information.
