Resolution No. 25-1 A Resolution Cancelling the Amalga Town 2025 Municipal General Election WHEREAS, Utah Code § 20A-1-206 authorizes a municipal legislative body to cancel a municipal election or race if the ballot will not include any contested races or ballot propositions; and WHEREAS, the Town Council of Amalga, Utah, finds that the 2025 Municipal General Election ballot does not include any contested races or ballot propositions; and WHEREAS, the Town Council desires to certify that the candidates who qualified for the ballot are considered elected; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Town Council of Amalga, Utah, as follows: 1. Cancellation. The Amalga 2025 Municipal General Election scheduled for November 4, 2025 is hereby cancelled. 2. Certification. The following individuals, having qualified for the ballot, are hereby certified as elected to office: o David Pitkin Wood, Amalga Mayor 4 years o Paul Richard Hansen, Amalga City Council 4 years o Rayslyn Kinly Larsen, Amalga City Council 4 years 3. Notice. The Clerk/Recorder is directed to: o Provide notice of this cancellation on the Statewide Electronic Voter Information Website (vote.utah.gov). o Provide Class A notice for the municipality in accordance with Utah Code § 63G-30-102. o Provide a copy of this resolution to the Cache County Elections Division immediately for ballot and VISTA updates.
