Description/Agenda
September 10, 2025 Attention: Public Hearing Notice Contact Person: Anthony Fletcher, Planner 707 E Mill Road Unit 202 Vineyard, UT 84059 (801) 226-1929 Vineyard Station Area Plan NOTICE is hereby given regarding a Joint public hearing before the Vineyard Planning Commission and the City Council on September 24th, 2025, at 6 pm or as soon thereafter as possible in the council chambers at 125 S. Main Street, Vineyard, Utah 84059. The Vineyard Station Area Plan (SAP) is a vision for how our city will grow around the frontrunner station in the way that serves our residents, supports local businesses and enhances regional connections. The Station Area Plan is required under Utah House Bill 462 (2022) for all cities with passenger rail stations. More than a compliance measure, the SAP is a locally driven vision that: - Creates a walkable, connected district centered on the Vineyard Frontrunner Station. - Supports a variety of housing options, including moderate-income housing. - Expands transportation choices with new street connections, trails, and safer pedestrian and bicycle routes. - Provides a framework for parks, open spaces, and greenways that connect to Utah Lake and Vineyard's broader trail system. - Encourages economic opportunity through employment, retail, and innovation spaces. Next Steps - Following the public hearings, the City Council will consider approval of the SAP as a working document. - The adopted draft plan will then be submitted to the Mountainland Association of Governments (MAG) for formal review and certification, as required by state law. - After certification, the plan will be returned to Vineyard City Council for final adoption. Public comments, questions, and requests for copies of materials are encouraged to be emailed to Anthony Fletcher at anthonyf@vineyardutah.gov prior to the meeting. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Public Hearing Notice was posted at the Vineyard City Offices, the Vineyard City website, posted on the Utah Public Notice website, and delivered to surrounding entities. /s/ Anthony Fletcher, Planner
