Pursuant to Utah Code § 20A 1 510, notice is hereby given that a vacancy will occur on the Town Council of the Town of Garden City. The Council will fill the vacancy in accordance with Utah law. This vacancy will be filled at the Garden City Town Council meeting scheduled for October 9th, 2025, at 5:00 p.m., at 69 N Paradise Parkway, Building C in Garden City, Utah.
Qualifications:
1. Be a United States Citizen at the time of filing.
2. Be at least 18 years of age at the time of appointment.
3. Be a legal resident of the municipality for 12 consecutive months immediately preceding the date of the appointment.
4. Be a registered voter of the municipality.

Any registered voter residing in Garden City who meets the qualifications for office under Utah Code § 10 3 301 may submit their name for consideration. Submissions must include:

Appointment Process:
- The Council will vote to appoint a candidate to fill the unexpired term. If no candidate receives a majority in the initial vote, a runoff will be held between the top two vote-getters, per the procedures in Utah Code § 20A 1 510(d)
- Appointees are required to complete a Conflict-of-Interest Disclosure and Town of Garden City Ethics Pledge.
Term:
The appointed individual will serve the remainder of the term, which expires on January 1, 2028.
