NOTICE OF MEETING
OF THE
KANAB CITY COUNCIL
Notice is hereby given that the Kanab City Council will hold a regular council meeting on the 9th day of September 2025, in the City Council chambers at the Kanab City Office, 26 N 100 E, Kanab, Utah. The Council Meeting will convene at 6:30 p.m. and the agenda will be as follows:

6) PUBLIC HEARING ITEMS:
A) Public hearing for a proposed plat amendment of parcel K-13-1-Utah-Annex, K-366-43, K-366-44 and K-366-CA2 adjusting the phases and platting of the Planned Development Overlay; located approximately at 600 E Kaneplex Road.
B) Public hearing, discussion and consideration of an ordinance amending Kanab City's Land Use Ordinance Chapter 15 - Establishing Zones. The purpose of the amendment is to update the ordinance with the new requirements in Utah State Code to establish a process to modify the land use tables.
7) ACTION ITEMS READY FOR VOTE:
A) Discussion and consideration of an ordinance approving a zone change for parcel KC-6-1 from C3 (Commercial Zone) to RM (Multi-Family Zone). Parcel is located at 220 West 300 North [Applicant: Michael Lai, owner of the Cowboy Bunkhouse]
B) Discussion and consideration of an ordinance amending Kanab City's Land Use Ordinance Chapter 9 - Site Plan Review. The purpose of the amendment is to clarify the application process.
C) Discussion and consideration of an ordinance amending Kanab City's Land Use Ordinance Chapter 6 - Parking Requirements. The purpose of the amendment is to allow access for public parking spaces from a public street.
D) Discussion and consideration of a five-year agreement with Axon for the purchase and deployment of Taser 10 devices for the Kanab City Police Department.
8) ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION:
A) Discussion on the Kane County 911 EMS and Transport Services Request for Proposals to meet requirements set by Senate Bill 215.
B) Discussion on the Kanab City Public Infrastructure District Policy and the financing tool of Infrastructure Financing Districts allowed for in the State of Utah.
C) Discussion on the fiscal year 2025 fourth quarter unaudited financial report.
