Description/Agenda: Notice of Cancellation In accordance with Utah State Code 20A-1-206: 'A municipal legislative body may cancel a local election if: the ballot for the local election will not include any contested races or ballot propositions, , the municipal legislative body passes a resolution that cancels the race and certifies that candidates for the race are considered elected.' On September 3, 2025, the Cornish Town Council approved and adopted Resolution 25-06 cancelling the November 4, 2025, municipal election for Cornish Town and certifying the following: - There are two candidates for the two at-large town council seats. - There is one candidate for Mayor - There are no municipal ballot propositions. - The following candidates are considered to be elected to office: Matt Leak (Mayor), Brad Fisher (council), Chris Buxton (council) Posted September 4 , 2025
